Working environment and conditions of incubating equipment

    We hereby provide basic information regarding exterior working environment and conditions of the incubator with multifunction display so that you can operate well and achieve best incubating result by making the most advantage of this kind of machine. All information listed below is for your reference only.
1. Space requirements of hatchery
    Hatchery is a location to set incubators. Hence, design of the hatchery must give full consideration to features of the incubators you are going to apply. Inside of a hatchery must be planed per size, quantity and arrange mode of your incubators.
    Total length of one hatchery is(taking Model 192 incubator as an example)L = 3.36m× n (machine quantity of each single row) + 2×0.5m(distance between hatchery walls and incubators on two sides)+(n-1)× X(distance between each two incubators). Note:conjunct incubators are recommended as they will save your capital and room).
    Total width of each hatchery will be decided by the incubators you purchased and arrange mode of them. If you place them face to face in double rows, interior width of the hatchery is B = 2.52m×2 + 3m(width of operating space between the two rows of incubators)+ 2×0.6m(distance between rear panels of the incubators and walls),regular width is 9m. If you set them in one row, net width of the hatchery needs approx. 6m.
    Recommended height of your hatchery is higher than 4.5m. Shortest height cannot be lower than 3.5m. In order to favor ventilation inside the hatchery, there must be a space no smaller than 1.5m between top of the incubators and roof if total height of one incubator is 2.64m (taking Model 192 for instance).
    In addition, enter passage for main machines of your incubators should be reserved when you build the hatchery. The main machines will not be disassembled after they are debugged and tested. So, a door with a size of 1.5×2.8m should be reserved to let main machines come in as outer dimensions of one major machine is 1.2m×2.4m×2.64m. Sizes of other doors should be no smaller than 1.5×2.3m because that of one trolley is 0.6×1.8m.
2. Floor requirements of the hatchery
    Floor of your hatchery can use materials like cement, terrazzo or tiles. Ground bearing capacity should be more than 750Kg/m2 considering weight of trolleys loading full breeding eggs. Flatness of the ground should be smaller than 5mm.
    There should be gutters before the incubators to discharge dirty water caused by clean out of the hatchery. Iron bars used to cover the gutters and they should be on the same surface with the ground for convenience of trolley-pushing. It is better for the ground at front of the incubators has some slope so that standing water inside the incubators can flow into the gutters.
3. Temperature and humidity requirements of the hatchery
    Inside temp of the hatchery is better be kept at 20∼27℃. Air-conditioners or heaters can be installed inside the hatchery by users who have such conditions to regulate high temp in summer and low temp in winter. Regular users can employ underground flame paths, heating walls or coal stoves to increase inside temp in winter. In summer, they can extract cool air from cellars or cooling pads to decrease inside temp.
    Relative humidity inside the hatchery should be kept around 60∼80%RH. In north of China where environmental humidity is relatively low, users can splash water onto the ground to ensure inside humidity. By increasing natural volatile quantity, shortness of environmental humidity can be overcome.
4. Ventilation requirements inside the hatchery
    In order to let the hatchery fill with sufficient air, air-inlet manifold and air-inlet fans should be installed when the inside ventilation is inadequate. As inlet windows of incubators are usually set inside, interior air quality impacts directly on incubating rate and hatchability. Hence, it is best to pre-treat air before it goes into the incubators. It can also be adjusted by air-conditioners and then move into the machines. It must be guaranteed that total vol. of air-inlet is larger than that of exhaust.
    The hatchery should be allocated with good exhaust facility. It is a most favorite way to discharge the exhaust generated by embryos through manifolds. The dirty exhaust with high temp is got together in the main manifold through branch manifolds of each incubator and is discharged outside directly to avoid being reutilized. Air discharge manifolds are strongly recommended during hatching period to expel fluff from inner space effectively. If the fluff gets into the incubators, normal operation of them can be influenced negatively. The whole hatching environment should follow a principle, that is, positive pressure in the hatchery and negative pressure in the incubators.
5. Water supply requirements
    Water supply for the hatchery is mainly used to meet water consumption need of the incubators for humidification. Water is also necessary when some incubators are installed with spray humidifying or water cooling devices.
    We recommend running water for your hatchery. It should be clean water with low mineral composition. It is forbidden to apply hard water which is not processed with high content of iron and calcium (like phreatic water). Since the hard water with high content of mineral composition can cause scale deposit easily. Long-term usage can block holes in humidifying water-throwing blades so that humidification effect can be impacted. Hard water application can alsoblock humidification nozzles to prevent them from working normally.
    For some incubators with water cooling devices or spray humidifiers, pressure of supplied water should be maintained at 3∼5Kg/cm2 . Temp of water source for water cooling devices should be kept below 15℃. Otherwise, degradation of cooling effect will be seen.
6. Power supply requirements of the hatchery
    Applied power for the incubators is three-phase AC. Power is connected as a three-phase, five-wire system which includes a three-phase live wire (phase A, phase B, phase C), one neutral line (or called zero line, N) and one ground-protection wire (PE wire). Power parameters of this system are:
    wire voltage: 380V±10%,phase voltage: 220V±10%,frequency: 50Hz.
    Power required by incubating equipment is very high, sectional area of conducting wires for power transmission and distribution must be taken into consideration. Sectional areas of branch wires of each single incubator are:copper conductor: 2.5mm2,aluminum conductor: 4mm2. We recommend four-core copper conductors with a sectional area of 2.5mm2(taking Model 19200 for instance);Sectional area of main wire in the hatchery should be decided per quantity of your incubators. Normally, 10∼25mm2 is proper.

    ▲Electricians’ common knowledge:a sectional area of 1mm2 can carry 5∼7A current.
    It is recommended that each incubator has its own power supply, that is, installing an independent knife switch or air switch behind each incubator (30A will be proper). It is better to use an air switch with leakage protection as the switch of the main power supply of the whole hatchery in order to better protect safety of the machinery and people. Please do note the importance of neutral lines (or zero lines). Please connect zero lines of your incubators properly. It is forbidden to conduct a series connection between a knife switch or a fuse and a zero line. It is suggested that you install a lightning conductor if your hatchery is in a location having frequent lightning and thunder to avoid damage to the machinery.
    Note: considering particularity of the incubators, your hatchery must be equipped with electric generating set for emergency usage when there is a power failure. Power of the generating set is calculated per total power of all your incubators adding 25% of consumption of the set itself. Furthermore, lighting power consumption of the hatchery and other items must also be taken into consideration.
